FEAST UPON THE WORD

November 13, 2016
Family,

Good week this week.

Jacky has a BD for Christmas. He is awesome. Amazing, smart and prepared man. We are pretty excited about it. Jacky's boss is a member of the church. After the last lesson we had with him, he told his boss that he felt really good after meeting with us and is excited about his date. Jacky has been a little down recently because of some work crisis, but it has humbled him.

Brian is a new investigator who brought his friend last lesson. He wants to know how he can have the blessings of God in his life. We have just the message for him.

Calvin, who was an LA member, is now active! He comes with his 2 year old daughter every week because his wife has to work. He is great.

I get to use the piano a lot more here in Macau, which is great. I played for Priesthood session of District Conference last week and will accompany a vocal performance next Sunday in Sarament meeting.

Elder Lau is awesome.

President Lam came down for District Conerence. It was great. One thing he said at District Conference that stuck out to me was when he were talking about the Book of Mormon. After talking for a few minutes, he stopped and said something like, 'I'm not going to move on, I'm going to stay with that. The Book of Mormon.' I kept thinking about that and how he taught from the Book of Mormon. It rekindled a fire in me to feast on the word. Many times on my mission I have had the prompting to learn the scripture better and to obtain the word. Recently with Elder Huang at Mission Tour and President Lam this weekend, I have felt the same prompting.

Another thing he said that also led to this prompting to obtain and feast on the word was when he said 'everyone is constantly learning and having experiences, so everytime we go to the temple, or partake of the sacrament or read the scriptures we are a new person with new concerns. There is no end to learning.'
