HAPPY EASTER

March 27, 2016
Family,

Happy Easter! We are getting excited for Conference here. It is our favorite time of the year for missionaries. It's like Christmas! We do have to wait a week longer though, but no problem.

Dad - Language is coming fine. Passed off 9 2 weeks ago and failed 10 this week.Nothing new really with that.

Mom - People know about Easter here. They actually get off work and school Friday and Monday. They don't celebrate it anything like in the US though. It is called fuhuojie, which translates into resurrection holiday.  It's not been too hot. The weather is great right now.

Nothing too new with our investigators. Zou has been in Mainland lately as well as Jiang Jm. Liu DX has been too busy with work. Same with Chen DX. He did appreciate us coming and helping his son with english though cause he knowns none. We'll just keep trying to help his son. Chen JM also too busy with work. She said she would come to church, but we couldn't confirm and she didn't come. Same with Chen DX.

We did meet with Zheng DX this week though. He blasted us with a million questions. Didn't go to church. We are studying and praying hard for him so we can answer his questions. He said if we can answer his questions, he will get baptized. The hard thing is that chinese people thing so differently then we do. All the reasons and answers that make sense to me, don't work with him.
Anyway, we'll keep studying and praying.

It seems that recently a lot of what I am hearing and studying about has to do with acting and make the most of today. I have been thinking of this question from David O Mckay lately, "If I were to be called home today, would I have a clear conscience knowing that I have done my best so far? Could I stand before my father in heaven and "stand blamless"? This applies to a life just as much as a mission. We need to put off Satans temptation to sit and do nothing. As long as we are trying to be like Jesus, we are ok. Satan wins when he gets us to stop trying.

The gospel is a message of hope. The knowledge that we will live again and with our families is an amazing blessing. I am grateful for the Savior who makes it possible.
